- Find a quiet place where you won’t be interrupted
- Sit comfortably with your eyes closed
- Take a deep breath and exhale slowly
- Imagine yourself surrounded by a bright light of love and compassion
- Bring to mind the person or situation you need to forgive
- Repeat the following affirmations silently to yourself: “I forgive you. I release the hurt and pain. I choose love and compassion.”
